KANCHEN TEE — Sikkim Edition
Inspired by the sacred peaks of Kanchenjunga, this piece celebrates the culture and landscapes of the Eastern Himalayas.
The front features an embroidered Kanchenjunga motif stitched with golden Muga silk, representing the sunrise over the Five Treasures of Snow. Prayer flag colours honour the five elements believed to carry blessings across the mountains.
The back graphic is a visual archive of Sikkim’s mountain life — stacked stone cairns, Himalayan yaks, handwoven textiles, sacred peaks and scripts from the eight Northeastern states — layered in a collage inspired by field journals and cultural archives.
Patchwork of the tibetan prayer of Sikkim on top-right, with patchwork of tribal motif in the bottom left, embroidered on the t-shirt.
Designed as both a garment and a story, the Kanchen Tee captures the spirit of the mountains and the communities that live beneath them.
